The R&D Block Exemption: What’s new in IP and competition law?
The EU regime governing horizontal cooperation is undergoing a substantial revision. Although the declared objective of the revision is to relax the safe harbour conditions, this may not be the case in practice. The impact on R&D is uncertain and in certain cases the revised regime may make the negotiation of R&D agreements more complex.
