whatnext.law is delighted to invite you to the event “Fake News: Challenges for Democracy and Society”, which will take place on July 10, between 09:15 and 11:00, at VdA, Rua Dom Luís I, 28, in Lisbon.
The WhatNext.Law Research Center is the result of collaboration between Vieira de Almeida and NOVA School of Law and was launched in 2021 by these entities.
The spread of fake news is one of the biggest challenges of recent years, impacting democracy, society, and the right to freedom of information and expression in the future. The importance of informed choice and the role of technology in this context are issues that deserve in-depth reflection.
The event will be held in Portuguese, in person, and will feature the participation of experts who will address the intersection between the spread of fake news, freedom of information and expression, and the role of technology in this panorama.
>> Please register in advance by July 5.
We hope to be able to count on your presence and are available for any questions you may have via e-mail: info@whatnext.law.
