‘Fake News: Challenges for Democracy and Society’

WhatNext.Law is delighted to invite you to the event ‘Fake News: Challenges for Democracy and Society’, which will take place on 2 October, between 9.15am and 11.15am, in the António de Magalhães Cardoso Auditorium at VdA, Rua Dom Luís I, 28, in Lisbon.

The creation and dissemination of fake news is one of the biggest challenges of recent years, impacting society, democracy and the right to freedom of information and expression. The importance of informed choice and the role of technology in this context are issues that deserve in-depth reflection.

The event will be held in Portuguese, in person, and will feature experts who will address the intersection between the spread of fake news, freedom of information and expression, the importance of literacy and the role of technology in this equation.
