whatnext.law Best Thesis Award 2026

whatnext.law has launched the Best Thesis Award 2026, an initiative designed to recognize the most outstanding master’s thesis in areas of innovative and forward-looking research. The goal is to reward critical and disruptive thinking, as well as to encourage academic contributions in topics that align with whatnext.law’s research focus.

Areas of research include (but are not limited to):

– Artificial Intelligence

– FutureHealth

– Emerging Technologies

– Smart Cities

– Space

– Sustainability

– Mobility

– Digital Economy

– Digital Administration

Eligible candidates are those who have successfully defended their master’s thesis between October 2, 2023, and October 2, 2025.

Application Requirements:

– Submission of the thesis in both Word and PDF formats;

– whatnext.law Insight, a blog-style article about the submitted thesis. This article, which must not exceed 1,700 words, should use the template and follow the guidelines.

– Master’s degree certificate.

Submission Deadline and Instructions: applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on September 15, 2026 to info@whatnext.law.

Prize:

The winner will receive a prize of €1,500, and their dissertation and insights will be published by whatnext.law.

Other standout dissertations (and the corresponding insights) will also be published by whatnext.law.
